2010 has been another great year for us with another Grand Champion in our kennels and our young ones starting to become a presence in the ring.

On March 27th Morkerbook Kennels added another Grand Champion to their list being Grand Champion Morkerbook Burning Flame, making him to date the youngest grand champion in Queensland. A great way to start 2010!

The major awards of the year started with our Vallhund Grand Champion Dlarah Witchcraft winning Runner Up in Group and Open in Group under Mrs M Schelbach. This is always a great compliment for a rarer breed.

Morkerbook Sun Diva started off her year well by being awarded Minor in Show at the Mt Perry Show Society in April qualifying her for the Puppy of the Year for Zone 2.

Morkerbook Sun Warrior followed up a few months later with a Puppy in Show at the Bundaberg Show Society which also qualified him for the Puppy of the Year for Zone 2 as well, making it a brother and sister event!

At the Gin Gin Show Society Morkerbook Sun Warrior was awarded his first major award winning Runner Up in Group and Junior in Group.  At Isis and District Canine Club the following day Morkerbook Sun Diva performed one better and received a Best in Group and Junior in Group.

At the Callide Valley Kennel Club Shows at the end of June their father Grand Champion Morkerbook Burning Flame was awarded Runner Up in Group, State Bred in Group and State Bred in Show on the Saturday, while on the Sunday he went Best in Group, State Bred in Group and State Bred in Show.  Great result for one weekend!

On the weekend of the 4th and 5th September, the 2010 show crew performed extremely well with our Swedish Vallhund Grand Champion Dlarah Witchcraft (at 9 years of age) receiving Best in Group and Open in Group the first day, while our young boy Morkerbook Sun Warrior received Best in Group and State Bred in Group the second day! This gave him his final points to now become Australian Champion Morkerbook Sun Warrior.

Champion Morkerbook Hot Embers at the Zone 2 Dog of the Year Shows was not to be left off the winning list this year when she won Reserve in Group and Open in Group and then went on to win Open in Show.

At the Gladstone Open Show in October Mr D Brookes awarded Ch Morkerbook Sun Warrior Runner Up Best in Show and Junior in Show to the delight of his owner and handler, Naomi. At the championship show the following day Morkerbook Sun Diva received her last points for her to now become known as Australian Champion Morkerbook Sun Diva.

A great year in all with each of our show team being placed with either a Best in Group or a Runner Up in Group for 2010.  Thanks to the many judges who have rewarded our dogs in 2010.
